About the event

This training is designed for licensed therapists. CEUs are not offered for this first-run session.

Your clients arrive with a story already written about their sexuality — and more often than not, television wrote it.

In this 90-minute virtual training, you'll learn how to:

  • Identify the most common televisual sexual scripts driving shame, dysfunction, and disconnection in your clients

  • Apply a media literacy lens directly inside the therapy room — without turning sessions into a film seminar

  • Use the Sexuality & Representation in Televisual Media Index (SRTMI), a framework developed through doctoral research, as a clinical tool for externalizing the "broken" narrative
